Saturday night DJ and I went to Colorado National Speedway with his family and some friends. We took Kara with us. We had so much fun! Kara had never been there before but I think she had a really good time! There were Figure 8 Races, Modified Trucks, and then the cars. Even DJ got to race. He entered his name and was picked to race his truck in 1 lap eliminations. He was paired up with a Mustang and lost but he still said it was a lot of fun.
During the trucks, one of them flipped and it was a pretty bad wreck. The drived climbed out of the car and walked away only shaken up.
After the races we all went down to the pits so Kara could see the cars up close. There was one car driven by a guy with the last name:
We had to root for this guy and take a picture with his car
We also had to root for two cars that were both Kansas State purple and white! They were beautiful!
DJ and I even took a picture in front of a truck with a bull dog painted on the hood
We had a great night! The driver of the truck that flipped even let me take home a piece of his truck. I told DJ we would hang it in the garage! (Kara is holding it in the picture of me and her)
