Bad Chain of Events

DJ and I have hit a rough spot. There's a quote that I found on my Aunt's blog a while ago that best describes our current situation. . . "Into every life a little rain must fall, but I think someones mistaken me for Noah." Everything seems to be going wrong for us right now. Saturday night it snowed a lot and the temps were below freezing (the High for Sunday was 8 degrees). Our furnace runs off of our water heater and the vent system for the water heater is located on the outside of our building. If it snows or gets frosty outside it blocks the vent system - in turn freezing out water heater. We had no hot water Sunday night through Monday morning. This morning it still wasn't very warm. We had to heat water on the stove to give Taylor a bath. The property maintenance guy said he fixed the problem but obviously not because our furnace should be working. Our furnace has now been running for more than 36 hours and the temps are just barely over 65. I can't wait to get the electric bill this month! This morning as I was leaving the house it was 0 degrees. Yesterday we were wearing jackets inside the house and had Taylor wrapped in blankets and holding her for the short time we were home. It also doesn't help that our door sweep fell off and they can't replace it right now. Also, the outlets and light switches in our Master Bedroom, master bathroom and closet all blow very easily. at least once a week we have to switch the breakers and reset the outlets. This can not be safe, can it? Sunday evening our TV broke. Yes, the one we just bought a year and three weeks ago. Luckily we have a warranty but since we bought it from Circuit City, who is going out of business, we are not sure how the repairs will work. We'll see what happens on Wednesday. Right now I can only laugh at all of this. . . and keep praying it gets better.
But there has been some good for us too. Monday night we followed through with family tradition. We went to St. Nicks and bought our yearly Christmas ornaments. Taylor was very happy about this. We got her all bundled up and off we went. This year DJ and I had to get one for a family of three . . .and needed one for Taylor's 1st Christmas . . .We also had to get a stocking for Taylor. She has a cute snowman with a snowflake to count down the days until Christmas. Taylor loved all the Christmas lights.

So sorry to hear that you're drowning in difficulty right now. It's never good but especially during the holidays makes it more difficult.
Love the new ornaments. Taylor is a doll. I love seeing her smiling face. Give her a love for me.
