Birthday Week

I have a feeling Taylor is going to have something more like a week of Birthday's than just her birthday. Saturday she got an early birthday gift from Grandma and Grandpa

She was so sweet just sitting there. She kept her hands in her lap like that the entire time

Thank you for the birthday surprise Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Birthday Taylor

I feel like I always have an excuse for not posting anything on my blog. . . It's just life. But everyone knows how that goes. And better late than never, right?

The 7th was Taylor's 2nd Birthday! We had so much fun. We made pancakes for breakfast and she got to help make them.

During the day we just hung out, played games, watched movies and took a nap.

We took her to the circus that night. We had been talking about it for weeks. She was so excited - especially about the baby elephant. The day we went to buy the tickets they were getting ready to walk the elephants from the train to the coliseum so we stayed and watched. For weeks she was telling everyone she saw the elephants. And a baby.

Before the circus we had to have some sort of dessert with candles. She was so happy.

We got to the circus early so she could see the animals up close. They don't let anyone ride the elephants anymore and I was a little disappointed about that but I'm sure it's best that they don't.
This is the baby that Taylor loved so much. She kept saying she wanted to hold him and give him a hug. He was 20 months old and when he was born he weighed 220 pounds! Elephants are pregnant for 22 months! Can you imagine that? I thought 9 months was long. . .

 She wasn't a fan of the clowns. . .
Grandpa tried to impress her. . .
But she loved the elephants and watching them paint. . .

We had a party for her on Saturday (the 9th) for family. She got to go jumping and play with her cousins. When we would ask her to tell people what she got to do for her birthday she would say "Whoa Hoo! I Jump". The kids had a great time.

The big kids had fun too. . .

Joel and Thor . . . Thor is Joel's fiance's little boy. I loved him. He is so cute

No party is complete without cake and ice cream. . .

We opened gifts. . .

And got to jump more with our friends . . .
Taylor had a great 2nd birthday! I can't believe how fast 2 years has gone by! Next thing I know she'll be driving and wanting to date boys!

Happy Birthday

Even though my actual birthday is not until tomorrow, April 15th, I received most of my gifts on Sunday. We had wonderful weather, I even got a light sunburn, on Sunday so we had a BBQ with DJ's family. It was so much fun. We ate great food, enjoyed the hot weather, played games in the backyard, ate cake and opened gifts and went to DJ's little brothers basketball game.

But I have to say I got the most amazing birthday gift ever! I got some really cute maternity clothes and money from his family. My dad, step mom and DJ all went in together and got me a gift card for a spa. I have always dreamed of going to this spa. It's the Coldwater Creek Spa. It originally began as an online and catalog company only for clothing. A few years back they began expanding and opened up individual locations. I know where two are. But just about a year ago they opened one of 12 spas right here in Denver. My best friend Nicky had received a gift card there and said it was the most amazing experience. DJ and I got his mom a gift card there for Christmas and she seemed to agree with Nicky. When we got Carrie's gift card the sales gal gave us a tour and I was so jealous! You walk in to the spa and there is a waterfall running down one wall, it smells of nothing but lavender and eucalyptus and soothing music is playing. You feel nothing but relaxed even just standing in the entry way. Each guest gets a personal robe, and a drink of their choice (some chose champagne because it's included). No cell phones are allowed, all the technicians speak English, and it's very quiet. I'm going to be getting three spa treatments done. Explanations of all are below. I believe I was given a slice of heaven for my birthday!

Pregnancy Massage 50 minutes:
Our expert massage therapists are specially trained in this type of massage, avoiding certain techniques, stretches and pressure points to ensure your safety. (this is a full body massage - something I have never experienced by a professional)

The Ultimate Manicure 45 minutes:
Your choice of Shea Butter is applied, followed by our hydrating heated mitts. An exclusive ultimate hand massage, vitamin C exfoliation, paraffin hand treatment and hot towels for an indulgent experience. Finish with an expert nail grooming and polish.

The Tropical Pedicure 50 minutes:
Hot towels and our own ultimate foot massage combined with mango, kiwi and coconut essential oils and scrubs take you away. Your feet are buffed, expertly polished and you walk away with a shimmer of our glamour dust on your feet.

I can't wait to go!!
