Well it's finally here! Yes, the picture I keep promising will come any day. The first picture of the baby bump! I took it myself this morning because I was completely blown away by how big I looked in my new maternity shirt. Everyone keeps telling me I am so round already and I am going to be 'huge' because I am not even into my second trimester yet! Even my doctor said she didn't expect me to start showing until about May but for about 4 weeks now I have not even been able to button my own pants! Thank God for Belly Bands! Ha-ha. So here it is . . . Baby Bump picture #1. I am now 13 weeks pregnant, I've been pregnant for 95 days now, 66.1% of the pregnancy left and about 185 days left of being pregnant!
Last night the sweetest thing happen. When DJ got home I started making dinner and he came into the kitchen to say hello. As I was cutting veggies he hugged me from behind and I could tell he was having a hard time deciding where to rest his arms. I laughed and told him it was different now because he had to rest his arms above my belly. That's when he told me he didn't want to 'smoosh' or hurt the baby. I told him it was OK and it was good that he rubbed and touched my belly because this week the baby will start responding to touch and poking on my abdomen. If my belly was poked the baby would start trying to wiggle away from it now. So DJ started rubbing my belly and it was one of the cutest moments I have experienced. It's amazing how small things like that can make you feel like you are falling more in love with someone.
