One Month and Very Unhappy

Taylor is exactly one month old today. The time has gone by so fast. . . too fast! I return to work on the 18th which is just around the corner and it terrifies me. I know everyone will be taking great care of her so that is not my concern. Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday she'll be home with DJ and on Friday's she'll be with his mom Carrie. I'll have her to myself on the weekends. But that doesn't scare me. Everyday she does something fun and different and she is constantly changing. I don't want to miss a moment and that is what scares me.

At Taylor's baby shower we got a cute wall hanging. It's a classic Winnie the Pooh foot and hand print hanging. It comes with an ink pad and seemed very simple. I thought this would be very cute to do today since she is a month old now. I got the foot just fine. I knew the hand would be the hardest because she always has her hands in fists. I thought it would be easier to get her hand while she was sleeping. I was very very wrong. I got her hand covered in the ink. But as soon as I went to place it on the paper she clinched her fingers together and started squirming. I tried keeping her as still as possible but that just made her mad. Needless to say I didn't get her hand print on the paper. . . but she did manage to get the ink everywhere on herself and me. Cleaning the ink off did not make her happy one bit. All I can say is it's a very good thing I left her in her diaper for this very reason.I guess I'll wait until DJ gets home from work to finish it so I have another set of hands.

That little girl looks like she's been playing in the mud. What a fun story for the baby book.
